Topic: Help! How do we evaluate or pastor? Do’s and Don’ts of Effective Ministry Assessment
Join National Ministries Team Lead, The Rev. Elizabeth Dilley, of the MESA: Ministerial Excellence, Support, and Authorization Team to talk about ministry excellence. Rev. Dilley will lead an evening overview on the best practices for ministry assessment. Learn how to handle a performance assessment – either as a leader or as a pastor -and how to ground these practices in (1) faithfulness and (2) the vision of your church or ministry. Open to all.
Facilitator: Rev. Elizabeth Dilley
Rev. Elizabeth Dilley serves as Minister and Team Leader for the Ministerial Excellence, Support and Authorization (MESA) and Research and Data ministry teams in the national setting of the United Church of Christ. The MESA team works to ensure that all ministry settings in the UCC have gifted, supported, and accountable pastoral leadership, and the Research and Data team produce multiple data reports on behalf of the UCC. Prior to serving in Cleveland, Elizabeth served a small, theologically progressive congregation in Red Oak, Iowa for nearly a decade, and she is now a member at South Haven UCC in Bedford. She lives in Cleveland with her spouse Paul, a hospital chaplain, their teenage daughter, and a delightfully rowdy French bulldog named Blue.
