Topic: Sacred Ground: Rethinking Place, Purpose and Ministry

Join us for a special SPIRE Center session: a facilitated conversation with Jeff Jackson and Michael Howard on interim ministry, congregational transformation, and community development. At the center is a question many churches are asking: What do we do with our buildings? More than strategy, this is a conversation about presence and purpose—how our worship spaces can serve the neighborhoods we’re called to love. We’ll explore how to shift from survival thinking to sacred imagination, where the church becomes an incarnational community that nourishes and is nourished by its place. This session is for any congregation discerning what’s next—whether wrestling with property, facing limited resources, or seeking faithful ways to engage their communities.
